On this Sunday, our church family gathered for Brunch Church in the fellowship hall Sunday at 10:45 am, with a dish to pass. The congregation served themselves and then was seated at a table to begin worship around 11 am. Those on Zoom were encouraged to have their own elements for communion and to take part in their own “table conversation” for the second half of the service. Sacred Text came from: Hebrews 10:24-25. Jon S. offered music. We also offered our gratitude to Anna and Aster for their service.

We encountered the interaction of Jesus with Zacchaeus in the scripture passages of Luke 19: 1-10. Rev. Michelle Johnson preached this week, the children’s choir and the chancel choir supplied wonderful music for the service and we shared communion, anointing, and candle-lighting during our time together.

We celebrated Pentecost Sunday this week and the end of the Great 100 Days of Lenten Renewal and Eastertide. We received Shashi Madan and Roseann L’Esperance with the ritual of new members. We celebrated with communion. The congregation was invited to share a word or phrase that represented where they saw spiritual renewal in their own lives, or the life of our congregation, as we celebrated the presence of the Holy Spirit.
